Behind s.mart media is the video producer Sascha Martens from Bonn. In my twenties I spent most of the time in major film and television production companies in Cologne. However, I did not neglect my studies in Communication and Multimedia Management, which led me to the publishing industry.

I began my publishing career as a trainee in product management at Rentrop publishing group (VNR Verlag für die Deutsche Wirtschaft AG and FID Verlag GmbH). Over time, I was able to continuously progress and reached the position of Profit-Center-Manager. In this role, I successfully managed all direct marketing campaigns, including mailings, email marketing, inserts and advertisements.

With my move to a German-based subsidiary (WRB Media GmbH) of the Agora Companies USA conglomerate, I was able to combine my marketing and audiovisual skills as the Head of Video Production. In this position, I produced numerous video sales letters or adapted existing commercials from the USA, leading to significant success for the company. Video production has always been my personal hobby, and I thoroughly enjoyed producing all in-house content, including interviews, webinars, and on-camera moderations. The growing reputation that the time might finally be right to pursue my passion independently became stronger. So, at the end of 2023, I finally decided to embark on this adventure.

Here I am now, with s.mart media, already involved in exciting projects that I have had the pleasure of initiating and continuing as a video producer. And most importantly, I'm having a lot of fun at work! 😊
